UW Medicine is opened a new COVID-19 vaccination site in Shoreline April 27. The site expands access to vaccination for residents of North King County.. The site is operated in partnership with the Shoreline, Northshore, and Bothell fire departments.

This effort is part of a King County Vaccination Partnership, which is establishing vaccination sites across the county to equitably, efficiently, and quickly vaccinate as many King County residents as possible to get the pandemic under control.

“We are excited to partner with the Shoreline and neighboring fire departments and King County to ensure that community members in this area have easy access to COVID-19 vaccinations,” said Cynthia Dold, associate vice president for clinical operations, UW Medicine.

The UW Medicine North King County Vaccination Clinic is located in the Pagoda Student Union Bulding at Shoreline Community College at 16101 Greenwood Ave.N.. in Shoreline, Wash. The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. It now accepts walk-ins for those ages 12 and up who are eligible.

“The North King County residents have been underserved since the COVID-19 vaccine was introduced. We are grateful for the partnership between UW Medicine, the Shoreline School District and local fire departments to help keep our residents safe and healthy,” said Kathy Pompeo, division chief of Emergency Medical Services, Shoreline Fire Department.

“As vaccine supplies increase, we are closing gaps by making vaccinations as accessible as possible, no matter where you live,” said King County Executive Dow Constantine. “We want residents in Shoreline and all of north King County to take advantage of this new vaccine site, built on a strong partnership with UW Medicine and north King County fire departments. Public Health will continue the critical role of working with community-based organizations to ensure those without access to a healthcare provider can get connected and get vaccinated.”

For more information about the COVID-19 vaccine at this location or another UW Medicine vaccination clinic, go to the UW Medicine vaccine site.

“We all share a commitment to serving our community and leveraging our expertise and resources to administer up to 1,000 doses a day,” said Jenny Brackett, assistant administrator at UW Medical Center.

The clinic will be UW Medicine’s fifth COVID-19 vaccination site. The others are at UW Medical Center-Montlake, UW Medical Center-Northwest, Harborview Medical Center, and Valley Medical Center.

The King County Vaccination Partnership -- Shoreline joins other partner sites in Auburn, Kent, Redmond, Renton, and Seattle. Those who join the King County Vaccination Partnership network agree to a set of principles governing where and how vaccines are distributed to ensure equity.
