UW Medicine, Seattle Children’s herald new era in fetal care

UW Medicine and Seattle Children’s announced a new program to provide comprehensive fetal care for expecting families by bringing two experts on one team.

“It's really exciting because we now are offering some things that I have lived through in not being able to help a baby, to be in a space where I can [now] say, ‘hey, there are some options here, and let's talk about it,’” says Dr. Edith Cheng, chief of Maternal Fetal Medicine at UW Medical Center. “It's a collaboration that lets us have the best outcome for the mother and for the baby.”
