About the Newsroom

The UW Medicine Newsroom is an award-winning source of news and information from UW Medicine, a Seattle-based health system affiliated with the University of Washington. UW Medicine includes Harborview Medical Center and UW Medical Center (Montlake and Northwest campuses) — as well as the UW School of Medicine, Airlift Northwest, the UW Physicians practice group, and UW Medicine Primary Care.

The Newsroom exists to make journalists aware of news developments and story ideas about advances in research, clinical care, and education.  We publish original content in news releases, blog items and original, broadcast-quality video segments and soundbites. Our homepage also reflects our Twitter feed and links to prominent external media coverage.
