Using sunlight and dye to decontaminate masks

Researchers have found a cost effective way to kill coronavirus on N95 masks using methylene blue and a bright light, like sunlight, can kill coronavirus on N95 masks. Dr. Tom Lendvay, a UW Medicine urologist, says this study began as a UW Medicine-led team of researchers was looking for ways to solve the PPE supply shortage resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
