Telehealth effectively expands mental health treatment

A five-year study conducted in three states found that telepsychiatry in rural health centers can make a tremendous impact on the lives of patients who may have otherwise not received care.

JAMA Psychiatry today published the results of the Study to Promote Innovation in Rural Integrated Telepsychiatry (SPIRIT).
