Soundbites: Protect yourself from 'holiday heart'
As people enjoy themselves this holiday season, doctors are warning of something called "holiday heart" that can happen when people binge-drink. This presents most commonly with rapid or irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation. Holiday heart can happen with anyone; you needn't have preexisting conditions that would heighten your risk. But atrial fibrillation can be symptomatic of a more serious, long term problem.
