Segment: Finding her voice, even with asthma
Imagine your child going back to school and not being able to enjoy favorite activites, like singing, dancing, or running. That was the reality for 8-year-old Alaya Rogers until she took control of her asthma. Dr. Matthew Blessing, a pediatrician at UW Medicine Kent-Des Moines Clinic, has been helping her manage the condition. Her family also got connected with a program that identified potential asthma triggers around the home. Through this, Alaya found her voice again.
