Screening can catch prostate cancer early
An estimated 174,650 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed in 2019. In its early stages, prostate cancer may have few or no symptoms. However, a simple blood test can detect the disease.
Chris Carr went in for a routine wellness check when his primary care provider noticed something was off with his blood test results. Now, Carr's sharing his story to get his important message out there: get screened. Prostate cancer expert Dr. Daniel Lin, chief of urological oncology at UW Medical Center and professor of urology at the UW medical school, explains what treatments are available.
