Patient visits curtailed at UW Medicine facilities

Communities across the nation are seeing more cases of COVID-19. Because of the higher risk of transmission, UW Medicine is implementing a policy that supersedes routine visitation.

"This is a difficult decision and we don’t make it lightly, and we know there are times when a patient having a visitor is crucial and in those cases we have exception to policies," says Lisa Brandenburg, president of UW Medicine Hospitals & Clincis.
