Mom's infections during pregnancy may affect child
It's scary to think about, but an infection during pregnancy, whether the flu or a urinary tract infection, appears to increase a child's risk of being diagnosed with depression or autism. Researchers also found the rate of suicide was lower among children whose gestations were without infection.
