Drive-through screening for UW Medicine patients
A new site for drive through testing opened Monday for UW Medicine patients. Those who come through need a referral from their primary care provider and an appointment. Dr. Thomas Hei, director of outpatient services at UW Medical Center, says on the first day, they swabbed 15 patients. He expects the site can perform 50 tests a day depending on staffing and equipment.
There are plans to open more sites in the future.
