'You're homeless but you still need to take care'

UW Medicine partnered with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to bring a mammogram van to Mary's Place, a Seattle day center for women and children. 

Anita Kennedy, a patient who got out of drug addiction 16 years ago, talks about the importance of access to such screenings, even for young women. She visits Mary's Place. 

Dr. Julie Gralow, a breast cancer specialist for UW Medicine and the SCCA, says "Being able to bring the screening to the patient is what's actually going to get the best results."
