Who should get the new shingles vaccine?
Shingles is a viral infection that can result in a painful rash and, in some cases, lasting nerve damage. A new vaccine will be available soon, and primary-care clinicians are encouraging older adults to get it, even if they’ve already received the old shingles vaccine.
