What's value of MRI with youth concussions?

A study of more than 400 pediatric sports-concussion cases indicates that, in most cases, the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) did not help in the evaluation of persistent symptoms. The findings were published in the Journal of Neurotrauma.

Dr. Monica Vavilala, director of the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center, was one of the researchers involved in the study. She discusses the study in this downloadable video.
