UW Medicine performs antibody tests for employees
UW Medicine just completed antibody testing for 3,000 of its frontline workers. The results showed that the rate of COVID-19 infection among staff was around 3 percent, which is similar to that of the general public.
"I think we were very pleased by these results and what this shows is that our preparedness and the actions we’re taking to protect our staff and our patients are working," says Lisa Brandenburg, president of UW Medicine hospitals and clinics.
In the video below, Brandenburg explains those measures that were taken for staff safety and also what the public can do to continue to be safe by continuing to wear masks, wash hands, and physical distance from others.
