Update: Responding and supporting the community

Washington state received good news this week. It appears that efforts of physical distancing, handwashing, and staying at home are working to flatten the curve. But now is not the time to be overconfident. 

"It’s important that we keep our guard up and we continue to make these changes that are having such positive effect in our region," said Lisa Brandeburg, president of UW Medicine hospitals and clinics.

She explains how the health system is still prepared for a surge of patients, and what it is doing to support long-term care facilities in our region.
