Soundbites: Smoky air troubles boy with asthma

Smoke from the wildfires in Canada, Oregon and Eastern Washington blanketed Western Washington this week, and it’s been difficult for Jeremiah Brown, 8, who struggles with asthma, to catch his breath.  He and his mom, Elisha Chaney, talk about how they have coped with the haze.  UW Medicine’s Dr. Matthew Blessing and Wendi Jenkins, a nurse who manages the asthma program at the UW Medicine Kent-Des Moines Clinic, also talk about how the bad air has affected their patients and other asthma triggers.
