Getting back to sports safely this fall
Although most youth sports are on hold because of COVID-19, families with athletes that play on teams may be wondering if it's possible to practice safely.
Dr. Jonathan Drezner, director of UW Medicine Center for Sports Cardiology, identifies key questions parents should ask, such as "What is the club's plan for practicing safely?" In the video below, he offers some precautions to keep in mind. One is to have players maintain a 10- to 12-foot distance from one another if they are not wearing masks.
