Baby's diet in first 1,000 days

Paying attention to what you eat and what your baby eats during the first 1,000 days of life – preconception through 2 years old – has been gaining stature in the medical community for several years now.

​“The genes listen to their environment,” said UW Medicine dietitian Judy Simon. She discusses how what you eat, even before you become pregnant, shapes your baby’s health.
