Answering questions about the COVID-19 vaccines

Dr. Seth Cohen, medical director of infection prevention at UW Medical Center, answers questions about COVID-19 vaccine safety. Vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna are being distributed nationwide.  Although the development was fast, the safety process was rigorous, Cohen says, and the vaccine is safe for people. When asked which vaccine he would take, he said: "Whichever one is available."

In the video, Cohen addresses other concerns he's heard, including whether the vaccine was tested on a sufficiently large population, what side effects or immune responses have been reported, and why it's important to wear a mask even after you're vaccinated. Dr. Santiago Neme, medical director of UW Medical Center – Northwest, addresses the top questions in Spanish.
