As weather turns cool, keep guard up against pandemic
Yesterday Washington Gov. Jay Inslee announced relaxed rules about access to museums, libraries, restaurants, and other venues that bring people together. Moreover, as temperatures drop and daylight wanes, people naturally spend more time indoors.
Lisa Brandenburg, president of UW Medicine's hospitals and clinics, urges the community not to let up on wearing masks, physical distancing, and frequent handwashing. "This is a horrible disease, but it is preventable and if we all do our part, we can keep it from spreading," she said.
