After 250 kidney stones, Seattle man finds relief with water

There's no clear reason why, but cases of kidney stones are increasing. It's an experience that one Seattle man knows well: Guillermo Gomez has passed more than 250 kidney stones since he was in high school. He has tried several approaches to keep them from forming, experiencing little success until now.

Dr. Jonathan Harper, UW Medical Center chief of endourology and minimally invasive surgery, is a lead investigator of a study trying to determine whether a program of prescribed water consumption makes a difference with people like Gomez.
