World cancer estimates give actionable framework

Global burden of cancer report suggests where and how cancer care delivery can be improved

New estimates of the worldwide incidence and mortality form cancer have been determined from a systematic, global-burden-of disease analysis from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation,

The international team of experts published the results in the May 28 issue of JAMA Oncology

The report is accompanied by a commentary by  Drs. Benjamin Anderson, University of Washington, and John Flanigan of the Center for Global Health, National Cancer Institute, Rockville, Maryland.
