Dozens of U.S. medical experts will meet in Pittsburgh tomorrow to discuss prospective next steps in the prevention and treatment of sports concussions. The National Football League is sponsoring the two-day meeting.

Among the researchers is UW Medicine neurological surgeon Richard Ellenbogen, who also is co-chair of the league’s Head, Neck and Spine committee. He will co-lead a new UW Sports Health and Safety Institute created through a NFL grant.
