Grad student advises guardians of state’s watersheds

Workshops involve source-water protection strategies in forested areas

The state Department of Health was seeing more instances of surface-water plants having to shut down temporarily, and was seeking guidance about how to better safeguard Washington's watersheds and drinking-water quality. 

University of Washington graduate student Jonathan Nagata worked with the state to implement protection strategies.
