Global health funding record set as sources shift

Wealthy nations, aid groups, U.N. agencies and other charitable organizations set a record for global health aid in 2013, supplanting national governments as funding sources. Collectively $31.3 billion was spent last year on health projects in the developing world, according to a new analysis from the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.
