Flu shots urged as illnesses and deaths reported

As flu season progresses, King County health authorities are again urging residents to get vaccinated

As peak flu season begins, the number of cases is increasing in King County, mirroring the increase reported nationwide, said Dr. Jeff Duchin, chief of communicable disease epidemiology and immunization for the Public Health-Seattle and King County. He is also a UW adjunct professor of epidemiology.
