Family addresses sports perils after girl's 4 concussions

The Geivett family discusses how they live with the dangers of concussion as both their children play team sports that involve high physical contact. Daughter Greta has sustained multiple concussions playing soccer and basketball, but son Peter, who plays football, has sustained none.
 
This was not a surprise to Dr. Stan Herring, a UW Medicine concussion specialist, who says girls’ soccer is equally as likely to lead to a concussed player as boys’ football.
