The pain of losing a cousin who mixed methadone with alcohol inspired pharmacist Ryan Oftebro to turn his attention to preventing others from suffering the same fate. Oftebro, a graduate of the University of Washington's School of Pharmacy, is one of three pharmacist-owners of Seattle’s Kelley-Ross Pharmacy. The business is participating in a partnership with Public Health-Seattle & King County and the UW to provide a take-home overdose-response kit to anyone who needs it.
