WIth a $2 million gift, the Seattle Mariners are helping to extend UW Medicine's efforts to get COVID-19 vaccines to community members whose access or awareness is limited. 

"To be able to give back to the community that may be lacking the ability to get up to speed with everybody else is tremendous. I think that more organizations need to do things like this," said Dave Sims, a broadcaster for the team. 

Current and former players, including Alvin Davis and Edgar Martinez, and other Mariners personnel are part of the community awareness campaign.
