On Sunday, former first lady Barbara Bush, 92, disclosed that she would no longer seek medical treatment for her congestive heart failure, and chose to have “comfort care” at her Houston home. In this video clip recorded last fall, UW Medicine’s Dr. Rashmi Sharma talks about palliative care, and what it means for the patient and their family.
