Segment: Saving a life, rebuilding a body

Life changes in an instant. That truth is one Mary Ouellette knows firsthand after a car ran head-on into hers on August 10, 2018.  She was transported from Polson, Montana, to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. At times it appeared she would succumb to her injuries, which were significant: Almost every bone below her neck was fractured. But doctors were confident they could mend her injuries. After nearly 20 surgeries, she's sharing her story to let others know that hope exists, even in dire situations.
