Reshmi Bahadur works behind the scenes to keep the Rat City Roller Derby athletes rolling.  The UW Medicine certified athletic trainer at Northwest Hospital and Medical Center takes league players through warmups, strength training and agility skill-building. She gets the women ready to play, taping tender spots and vulnerable joints, and attends to injuries that result in bouts or practices. 

"Some weeks we have nothing going on ... and this week we end up with five to six major injuries," she says.
