Phase 1B COVID-19 vaccine administration begins

UW Medicine's vaccine clinics are busy with appointments as Washington state starts Phase 1B of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. Phase 1B includes people 65 and older as well as those 50 and older who live in multigenerational households. Florence and Ted Begun signed up as soon as they heard about it, and received their first doses today.

"It's the first step to being protected from COVID-19," Florence Begun says.  They encourage everyone to get the vaccine, adding that "it hurt less than a flu shot."

Visit this page to learn more about when you will be eligible for the vaccine.
