Melanoma biopsies' accuracy questioned

Dr. Joann Elmore, an affiliate professor of medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine, discusses new research indicating that pathologists are likely to agree when skin lesions are benign or highly malignant, but often disagree when gray-area lesions are less obviously characterized.

The study appears June 28 in The BMJ (British Medical Journal). In the downloadable podcast, she is interviewed by Dr. Michael McCarthy of UW Medicine.
