David Yamashita talks about his mother, Patty, who died by suicide after suffering from mental illness. The video is one of the real-life stories incorporated into a six-hour interactive training called "All Patients Safe." The training is created by UW Medicine professionals and is available to any healthcare provider.  Washington became the first state to require suicide-prevention training to all healthcare providers.
