Stop eating disorder behavior before it becomes entrenched
Experts say an eating disorder should not be considered normal, and should be dealt with an its early stages.
It is not unusual for teenagers to adopt strange eating habits. But experts, such as UW Medicine's Dr. Anne-Marie Amies Oelschlager, said that any eating disorder should not be considered normal. Amies Oelschlager was the co-author of a new report put out by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in June, which notes that symptoms of eating disorders can be picked up during a gynecological exam.
