Researchers find no strong link between prenatal ultrasounds and autism

But an accompanying commentary authored by UW Medicine practitioners say that the findings are not entirely convincing. 

Sara Jane Webb,  associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and Pierre Mourad, UW professor of neurological surgery, wrote a commentary about the study published in the JAMA Pediatrics.   Webb and Mourad, who were not involved with the research, suggest that the findings are not adequate to clear ultrasound of being a potential cause of autism.
