Dr. Pam Becker performs a bone marrow biopsy on Tony Blau on April 14, 2015, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
Dr. Tony Blau founded All4Cure, an online knowledge-sharing website for doctors, researchers and patients with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells. Such an online network -- it's free, too -- can break down communication barriers inherent to medical systems. Its aim is to facilitate information-sharing that brings about better survival for patients.
He sees the network's value as both doctor and patient: In 2015 he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma.
