Physician mentors: Why they're important, and how to make relationships

Physician success stories usually have a common thread: an important mentor, or possibly more than one key mentor, whose guidance proved invaluable.
And in this day of digital communication, Dr. Best urges formal meetings.
“Social media and the online universe can present a false sense of depth, and I think that we sometimes present different ‘selves’ in that environment," she said.
