Opinion: Paying the price for insulin
Diabetes patients in the U.S. have stuggled to pay for insulin, the price for which has increased twentyfold in the last few years.
My patient, Jeanne (not her real name) was almost embarrassed to mention that her insulin cost $300 for a single vial that lasts about five days. That’s more than $21,000 a year. Did I have any ideas that might help?
