Op-ed: Don't defund family-planning services

Administration-proposed changes will end preventive healthcare for thousands of women in Washington, writes a UW Medicine ob-gyn practitioner.

Changes proposed to Title X policy by the Trump administration would make Planned Parenthood and other providers ineligible for federal funding. As a result, low-income and adolescent patients would have far less access to contraceptives and preventive healthcare.

Dr. Sarah Prager, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Washington School of Medicine, co-wrote this editorial.
