Mom tells her story to prevent other suicides
The picture for those who study teen suicides is getting darker, according to national statistics. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that suicide ranks second behind unintentional injury as the cause of death among children 10 to 14 years old.
“We can’t predict who is going to die by suicide. We don’t have to a test to tell us someone is a risk,” said Dr. Molly Adrian, assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
