October 9, 2018

Dr. John Scott, medical director at Harborview’s Hepatitis and Liver Clinic, tells reporters about the successful treatment of hepatitis C patients.

Gov. Jay Inslee signed a directive that would coordinate state and local governments’ efforts to try to eradicate hepatitis C by 2030.  In late September, the Washington state governor visited the Liver Clinic at Harborview Medical Clinic, where he met with clinicians and with public health infectious disease specialist Jeff Duchin. Please see the news release from the governer's office about the unveiling of this plan. Several local news media covered the signing and interviewed the medical specialists.
