How to tell people they have brain cancer

Education initiative was sparked by survey of more than 1,400 patients.

Brain tumor patients and their families face uncertainty, a sense of feeling alone, and helplessness.  To diminish that burden, the The National Brain Tumor Society recently announced a new effort to provide information, tools, and guidance.

The initiative resonates for Dr. Tony Blau at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He knows what it's like to receive a cancer diagnosis, and the inevitable scramble for information in order to make important decisions about how to move forward.
