Hitting the high notes after beating asthma
Alaya Rogers wasn't sure she would be able to sing again with her group, The Triple A's, after asthma kept her from her favorite pastime.
Imagine your child going back to school and being unable to enjoy favorite activites like singing, dancing, or running. That was the reality for 8-year-old Alaya Rogers until she took control of her asthma. Dr. Matthew Blessing, a pediatrician at UW Medicine's Kent-Des Moines Clinic, has been helping her manage the condition. Her family also got connected with a program that identified potential asthma triggers around the home. In this KING5 interview, Alaya tells the story of how she found her voice again.
