Care on a heart-lung-like machine put a man on a road to recovery; now he's doing a triathlon.

Dave Harris will compete this week in an Ironman Triathlon, doing something most thought was impossible. In December 2016, the U.S. Navy commander was involved in a freak accident in which an overpressurized cockpit caused severe trauma to his lungs.
Brought to Harborview Medical Center, Harris received treatment on an ECMO machine (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation), which proved lifesaving. This week he'll compete in a triathlon in Louisville, Kentucky.
