Harborview doc saves vacationing New Zealander
At a park, the off-duty physician recognized that the girl had symptoms of a brain hemorrhage.
Alyssa Ledbetter and her family call Dr. Alisha Brown a guardian angel. Brown was at a park on Mercer Island, near Seattle, when Ledbetter complained to her mom of a sudden, very bad headache, and the emergency medicine physician recognized that the girl had symptoms of a brain hemorrhage.
Alyssa was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where she was diagnosed with two ruptured brain arteries. She is recovering now but will need surgery at some point soon.
