Across King County is a great disparity in the health quality of residents in different neighborhoods. Disparities in life expectancy are as high as 18 years for men and 14 years for women.
Those "enormous" differences are akin to disparities seen in West Africa and Europe, said Chris Murray, director of Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington, where the research was conducted.
