Seasonal Affective Disorder is a real thing, and there are steps to try to manage it.

A fall scene in Seattle that's likely to be repeated often until about March.
On average one in 10 people who live at Seattle's latitude suffer from the winter blues or seasonal affective disorder known as SAD, according to Dr. David Avery, a UW Medicine psychiatrist. He started studying the affect a lack of daylight has on people more than 30 years ago.
